Tunisian traditional wedding underwear includes a lace chemise called “soureya” with very wide sleeves and lace pantaloons called “serwel”. Both pieces were always white (or light-colored – cream, ivory, etc) and very ornate, embellished with lace, embroidery, gold embroidery, openwork, or other decorations. Tunisian bridal bloomers were rather loose and had a serrated hem.
