Always think about the temperature of the environment when having a wedding dessert table. Besides the fact that every season requires specific desserts (in summer – light and low-fat, in winter – heavier and possibly even warm), you also need to consider how your sweets will survive the high or low temperatures.

Some desserts are fine whatever the weather is, others melt and lose their good looks when it’s hot. You have, basically, 2 options – to pick those desserts that will endure the heat or to find a cool shaded place for your dessert table. For example, you can have the table placed inside the venue or house (for backyard weddings), while the dance floor is outside.

If the temperature is below zero, your desserts might also look and taste worse. The cream can freeze and pastry becomes hard and stale. So, choose the right place for your wedding dessert table.
