This trend is something comparatively new. It’s when one person pops the question and gets a positive answer, the other partner does the same shortly after. For same-sex couples, joint proposals are typical, which is understandable, but this trend is getting more and more common among heterosexual couples as well. This way, both partners get an equal portion of attention, both feel the excitement, both do the proposal prep, and so on. The time when men gave – attention, flowers, jewelry, etc – and women only received is in the past.
