In Indonesia, there is an old wedding tradition that is still maintained by some people – to send food wedding invitations. Of course, it depends on the family’s income level, but wealthier families traditionally prepare food invitations for their guests – it can be some local dishes, snacks, or even delicacies. Every wedding guest gets an invitation card and a small parcel with food.
Not so long ago, the Indonesian royal family send such food invitations to their guests when the prince was getting married.
